My name is Hanna Bendit. I was born in Russia at the end of World War II. After the war, my parents who were from Poland, wanted to return to their hometown to search for their family. When I was a young girl, my family emigrated to Israel. I loved learning about my new culture. In 1969, I married Morris Bendit in Canada and we moved to Long Island, New York to start our family. We have three beautiful daughters. We moved to Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Jacksonville, Florida in 1984. Upon moving here, I began working in the preschool followed by the camp, the Day School, and the Religious School. It became my home away from home. I enjoy coming to work each day and seeing the smiling faces of all the children. I also enjoy my beautiful grandchildren and my son-in-laws. In my spare time, I like to read and take long walks with my father, husband and friends. My years in Jacksonville have been wonderful….I wouldn’t change a thing!
